| 12497318 4L60E Automatic Transmission $2064.83 |
This new 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission assembly features electronic control of shift points, shift feel and torque converter clutch application. The two-piece transmission case allows use behind GM engines that have a Chevrolet V8 bellhousing bolt pattern and produce no more than 370 lb-ft of gross engine torque. This gearbox features a 3.06 first gear ratio for great acceleration and a 0.70 overdrive fourth gear ratio improved fuel economy. The high stall torque converter produces a stall speed of approximately 2300 RPM behind most small-block engines. The output shaft does not contain provisions for a mechanical speedometer application. The production use of this transmission assembly was for the police package 350 Vortec powered Chevrolet Tahoe. For proper transmission operation for both carbureted and fuel injected applications a control module and wiring harness is also available separately. 4L60E gear ratios: 1st 3.06, 2nd 1.75, 3rd 1.00, 4th 0.70. Use with transmission controller P/N 12497316. See Adapters for a variety of transfercases available. |
| 750301 Jet Performance Torque Converter $427.14 |
We find the stock GM torque converters to be a bit lazy. The Jet converter features furnace brazed fins for extra strenght. Kevlar lock up clutches, extra welded on hub and complete computerized balancing. Special stall speeds available by special order.
The Torque challenger converter is designed to take advantage of low end torque for off road applications. Features a lower stall speed for improved towing, performance, increased mileage and lower heat production.

| 12497316 4L60E Transmission Controller $1190.26 |
Includes wiring harness, controller, software and lap-top hook-up. Allows the use of electronically controlled transmissions in early model vehicles. Fully programmable for upshift, downshift, part throttle and wide-open shifts and shift firmness. Comes pre-programmed, just enter your rear tire diameter and rear axle ratio and go, or create your own custom shift characteristics. Originally developed by GM Racing for off road truck racing. The controller has the ability to record and graph drag race data like time, speed, shift point, engine rpm and more. Requires a throttle position sensor on carbureted applications, see instruction manual for specific parts required.

New Venture 4500 -SALE- Starting at $1500 E for quote
|
NV4500 (1993-94): During the first two years of the New Venture 4500, Chevy offered this 5 speed with a 6.34:1 1st gear; 2nd 3.44:1; 3rd 1.71:1; 4th 1:1 ratio, and a 27% overdrive. It was also the first year that Chevy changed the bellhousing-to-transmission bolt pattern. This transmission is ideal when converting your vehicle, providing an ultra-low 1st gear. GM, however, only produced this particular ratio during these years. The major complaint of this 5 speed was stiff shifting and noise in 3rd gear.
NV4500 (1995): This transmission is identical to the 1993-94 transmission, except the 1st gear ratio had been changed to 5.61:1; 2nd 3.04:1; 3rd 1.67:1; 4th 1:1 ratio, and a 27% overdrive. The noise and shifting problems had been corrected.
NV4500 (1996-2001): This transmission has the same gear ratio as the 1995 version. Chevy once again changed the bellhousing-to-transmission bolt pattern and went to a larger bellhousing index diameter. This Chevy NV4500 has the same bellhousing-to-transmission bolt pattern as the Dodge NV4500. These transmissions use a GM internal release bearing.
Dodge NV4500 (1993-2000): This transmission is the same as the 1996-99 Chevy version; however, the only difference is the transmission input shaft, output shaft and the tailhousing. The 2001 Dodge transmission was changed to a 29 spline output shaft. All NV4500 transmissions have a 12.375" case length.
